Nermin Oruc holds a PhD degree in Economics from Staffordshire University. He is founder and Director at the Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research. He is also Coordinator of the Western Balkans Migration Network (WB-MIGNET) and leader of the national team for BiHMOD, a micro-simulation model for tax and benefits policies in BiH, based on EUROMOD. Nermin taught Econometrics, Economic Development and Labour Economics at the SSST University and International University of Sarajevo. He was also a consultant on many projects with the World Bank, EU Commission, IOM, UNDP, and other organisations. He completed more than 80 national and regional research and consultancy projects, acting as a team leader on a majority of these projects. His research interests include labour market analysis, social policy analysis, education and migration. Nermin co-authored three books and published a number of papers in the international peer-reviewed journals and is also a member of editorial boards of several international academic journals. He was visiting fellow at the CERGE-EI, Prague and ISER/University of Essex. He is currently Visiting Atlantic Fellow at the International Inequalities Institute, LSE, London.
